Baseball & Softball Day – Vicenza Palladio Stadium

Baseball in Vicenza began in 1969 thanks to Giovanni Bezilli, who launched the sport through G.S. San Paolo. Within a few years, the team, later known as A.B.S. Vicenza, achieved extraordinary success, rising from Serie D to Serie A2 in just eight years. After a brief golden era and the decline of local facilities, activity slowed until the founding of Palladio Baseball in 1983 by Umberto Trevellin as a youth team. After years of sacrifice and playing outside the city, in 1997 the “Ai Pomari” baseball field was inaugurated, now the official headquarters of the club. Today, Palladio Baseball also manages the Laghetto softball facility, continuing Vicenza’s baseball legacy with dedication.
