A renowned scholar of Palladio, he is the founder of the Research Institute for Studies on Canova and Neoclassicism in Bassano del Grappa, which he led until 2001. A member of the scientific committee of the Centro Studi di Andrea Palladio and former director of Vicenza’s Civic Museums, he oversaw the restoration of several Palladian buildings, including Palazzo Chiericati and the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza.
