Paolo Massobrio

Born in Milan in 1961. For over 30 years he has written about agricultural economics and food and wine for La Stampa, Avvenire, and other magazines. He is editor-in-chief of the website www.ilgolosario.it and the magazine Papillon, and author of the best-selling guide Il Golosario. He also directs the series “I libri del Golosario” for Cairo Editore, collaborates with radio and TV, and is a judge on the cooking show La Prova del Cuoco, broadcast on Rai 1. Winner of numerous awards, he was also a contributor to the Italian Pavilion’s magazine at Expo 2015.

A guided tasting of 8 wines—some from Vicenza, others from the United States—paired with culinary specialties.
This session invites participants to explore Vicenza’s wines in dialogue with their American counterparts, narrated through the lens of Paolo Massobrio, journalist, food expert, and founder of ilGolosario – a guide to Italy’s finest food and wine.
The event is organized in collaboration with the Consorzio Tutela Vini DOC Colli Berici e Vicenza, the Consorzio Tutela Vini DOC Breganze, and the Consorzio Tutela Vini Gambellara.
Food pairings are provided by Serenissima Ristorazione.
The International Library La Vigna, the most important global center for ampelographic research, will be open to participants with a special exhibition of books related to the tasting journey.
